Bird watchers will enjoy viewing the collection of birds that frequent the Palud Marsh and the Dvije Sestrice Islands. Due to the rich blend of vegetation, many birds use the island for nesting.

If you’d like to view some impressive architectural structures, you won’t be disappointed. First on the list is the Old Town in Rovinj. An enchanting town filled with interesting architecture that depicts times past. The ancient seven gates that surround the town will surely impress you. Balbijev Luk is the formal entrance into the city and is the main gate.

The Church of Saint Euphemia is a grand structure that is the main focal point in the town. The bell tower is the central attraction and is admired by all. You’ll also want to visit the Franciscan Monastery, which was built during the eighteenth century. The Castle on the Island of St. Andrija has become a hotel and is a wonderful attraction.

Many of the scenic wonders found close to Rovinj include the Limska Draga Fjord, a canyon formed from karst that is declared one of Croatia’s most beautiful geological landmarks. Since karst natural wonders are abundant in Croatia, you won’t be surprised to learn that one of the most unique karst formations is located in Rovinj.
